What it does
All the mobile tools to help you carry out comprehensive eye exams
Peek ensures that all tests are:
- Proven and validated in clinical trials and field tests
- Suitable for use on adults and children
- Independent of language and usability tested in many regions
Accurate colour vision and contrast tests
Other tests are in development. More details coming soon.
With around 1 in 10 men and 1 in 20 women colour-blind it’s important to be aware of what you can and can’t see.
We’re currently trialling tests we’ve developed for a range of colour blindness (blue, green and red) using the high definition of a smartphone screen.
We’re also developing contrast tests, to evaluate the difference between shades of light and dark that people can see.
Securely store and share images
Share images as easily as sending a text
Images and patient information can be securely stored and shared for off-site review.
Whether you’re a doctor in a hospital referring cases to an ophthalmologist, or a remotely based health worker sending data to a treatment clinic hundreds of miles away, images are available to send whenever the phone has data or a wifi connection.
This means important diagnoses are still carried out by trained eye care specialists.
Intuitive eyesight tests that simulate results
Powerful evidence of eyesight problems
We’ve made eye tests simple to carry out for both adults and children. No need to carry or maintain letteralphabet charts, it also makes recording results easy.
It’s based on the display of the letter E shape (‘the tumbling E’) that makes it simple for people to recognise. This means it doesn’t rely on someone knowing the English language, yet it is proven to give the same results as traditional tests.
Even better, with Peek SightSim™ you’ll be able to see a live simulation of how your patient sees the world, compared to someone with normal vision.
High quality retinal images from your phone
It’s as easy as taking a photo
Peek Retina slips neatly over the in-built camera on your smartphone. Used with the Peek app, hold the phone close to someone’s eye and it will auto-focus to show you the retina on screen.
The high image quality means you can view cataracts clearly enough for treatment classification, detect signs of glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and signs of nerve disease. Other health problems such as severe high blood pressure and diabetes can also be identified with a good view of the retina.
Using an ophthalmoscope used to be difficult and time-consuming. We’ve made it as easy as taking a photo.
