Commonwealth Eye Health Consortium

The Commonwealth Eye Health Consortium, an international group of eye health organisations coordinated by the International Centre for Eye Health, has received a £7.1 million grant from The Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Trust. The consortium will focus on training (clinical, public health and research), and the development of the smartphone-based Portable Eye Examination Kit (Peek), electronic patient record software (OpenEyes), open educational resources, and an international diabetic retinopathy team training network programme. Eye health workers based in Commonwealth countries can apply for Masters programmes, scholarships, clinical fellowships and research fellowships supported by the consortium.
